Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet, or phone. They help the website work properly and remember what you did earlier, such as a puzzle you were working on.

2. Which cookies does BreinPlezier use?

We deliberately keep things simple. BreinPlezier uses functional cookies that are necessary to make the website work, for example to save your progress in a puzzle or to keep you signed in once accounts become available. Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, no consent is required for these necessary cookies.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used — for example, which pages are popular — so we can improve BreinPlezier. We place these statistics cookies only with your consent via the cookie banner. Without consent, the Google Analytics script is not even loaded. If you withdraw your consent later, measurement stops immediately and we delete the associated cookies. We use no advertising cookies and no marketing cookies.

3. Managing or deleting cookies

You can adjust your choice for statistics and marketing cookies at any time via the button below or via "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.

You can also delete or block cookies at any time via your web browser's settings. Keep in mind that the website may then work less well, for example because your puzzle progress is no longer remembered. You will find instructions for your browser in its help menu under "cookies".
