No, this is mahjong solitaire: a calm single-player puzzle with the same beautiful tiles. You find pairs of matching free tiles until the board is empty — no opponents, no rush.
When is a tile free?
When no tile lies (partly) on top of it and its left or right side is open. Blocked tiles appear slightly dimmed on the board.
Can a board be unsolvable?
Not here: every board is arranged so it is guaranteed to be solvable. If earlier choices still block you, the Shuffle and Undo buttons will get you moving again.
What do the different tiles mean?
You'll see dots, bamboo, and characters (each 1 through 9), the four winds, three dragons, and on the large board also flowers and seasons. For the game only one thing matters: matching tiles can be removed together.
