1. Who are we?
BreinPlezier is operated by DPR Solutions, located at Lenteakkerstraat 42, 8770 Ingelmunster, België (Belgium), registered under company number 0781.821.780. DPR Solutions is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website. Questions about this policy? Email info@breinplezier.com.
2. Which data do we process, and why?
We collect as little as possible. At the moment we process data in three situations. If you fill in the contact form or the GDPR request form, we process your name, email address, and your message so we can answer your question (legal basis: legitimate interest, or carrying out your request). If you sign up for the monthly newsletter, we process your email address to send you that newsletter. This works with double opt-in: you first confirm your subscription via an email (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time — you can unsubscribe with one click at the bottom of every newsletter). In addition, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs, which is necessary to keep the website secure and available (legal basis: legitimate interest).
Only if you give your consent via the cookie banner do we use Google Analytics to keep visitor statistics: which pages are visited, with what kind of device, and from which region (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page). Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can read more about this in our cookie policy.
We also store your cookie choice locally on your own device (in your browser's local storage); that information never leaves your device. We do not engage in profiling and do not make automated decisions that affect you.
3. How long do we keep your data?
We do not keep your data longer than necessary. Messages sent via the contact form are kept for a maximum of 12 months after they have been handled. We keep your email address for the newsletter until you unsubscribe. Server logs are automatically deleted by our hosting provider after a short time.
4. Who do we share data with?
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run the website, such as our hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (Supabase), our newsletter service (Brevo, only if you sign up), and — only if you gave your consent — Google (for visitor statistics via Google Analytics). Data processing agreements have been concluded with these parties. If data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, the right to have it corrected or deleted, the right to restrict the processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to the processing. If you gave consent (such as for the newsletter), you may withdraw it at any time. Submitting a request is easy via our GDPR request form. We respond within one month.
Not satisfied with how we handle your data? Then you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: in Belgium that is the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be); in the Netherlands it is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
6. Cookies
You can read how we use cookies in our cookie policy.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy, for example when we add new features. The date at the top tells you when the policy was last updated. In the event of important changes, we will clearly inform you on the website.
