Frequently asked questions about the word search
In which directions do the words run?
On Easy and Large print only left to right and top to bottom. Medium adds diagonal, and on Hard words can also run backwards.
Do I have to drag to select a word?
No. You tap the first letter of the word and then the last; the squares in between are included automatically. That works nicely with a mouse and with your finger on a tablet or phone.
What does the hint button do?
The hint names a word you are still looking for and lights up its first letter in the grid. Ask for as many hints as you like — there is no penalty.
Can a word be unfindable?
No. Every word on the list is actually placed in the grid when the puzzle is created, and appears exactly once. Whatever is on the list can always be found.
